Ply Dining Series

The Ply Dining Series is an exercise in restraint with a focus on functionality. The series grew from a need for cohesive tabletop displays for 5 Points product sold in pop-up shops in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The 5 Points team eventually used the series to hold creative workshops in their spaces with a variety of artists and designers. Formica laminate surfaces were introduced to ensure each piece remained clean no matter the activity.

After customers expressed interest in purchasing individual pieces, the team continued to refine the series. Special attention was paid to creating an affordable product with sturdy construction and a subtle dimensionality that many flat pack furniture pieces lack. The series was fabricated in Center, Texas and shipped partially assembled. Each leg was easily secured inside CNC routed pockets with steel hardware holding everything in place.
